March 31, 2023 · Lifestyle, Pretty Tri Life

As a triathlete, you’ve spent countless hours training and competing in your sport, and now you’re ready to graduate from college. What better way to celebrate your achievements than with a few triathlon-themed graduation shots? In this blog post, I’ll share some photo examples and ideas for triathlon college graduation poses with a bike, along with some tips.

Tip #1

Choose a Scenic Location

When planning your triathlon college graduation photo shoot, choose a scenic location that reflects your personality and style. This could be a local tourist spot, a favorite running trail, a bike route, or even your college campus. The location you choose will set the tone for your photos and help to tell your story. Consider places that hold significance to you or that have a connection to your triathlon journey.

Tip #2

Wear Your Cap and Gown

While you might be tempted to wear your triathlon gear for your graduation photos, don’t forget how important it is to wear your cap and gown as well. This is a special moment in your life, and you want to capture the full experience. If you want to incorporate your triathlon gear into your photos, consider wearing a team triathlon shirt, your tri suit underneath your gown, or holding your bike/gear in some of the photos.

Tip #3

Get Creative with Your Bike

Your bike is an important part of your triathlon journey, so why not incorporate it into your graduation photos? You can pose with your bike in a variety of ways, such as leaning it against a tree or holding it over your shoulder. You could also try sitting on your bike or even riding it in your graduation gown and cap! Have fun with your poses and do what you believe will show off your triathlon pride. Just make sure to be safe and not damage your graduation attire.

Tip #4

Capture the Moment

When taking your graduation photos, don’t forget to capture the moment. You want your photos to reflect your personality and your journey as a triathlete. Consider posing with your medals/trophies, holding a sign that says “triathlete graduate”, or one that represents your triathlon club. This will help to make your photos unique and memorable.

Tip #5

Change up your poses

Make sure to move around to different spots in your location with different poses! Take some pictures without your stole/gown, with it, and some with your triathlon gear. You want to make sure to take a variety of photos to give yourself options at the end. Speak with your photographer ahead of time about how you want to mix up your photos to include a good balance of triathlon-themed and graduation-focused photos. Also, make sure to mention you are including a bike in the photo shoot. Maybe they’ll come up with some cool poses for you!

Tip #6

Celebrate!

Graduating from college is a major accomplishment, and as a triathlete, you have even more to celebrate. By incorporating your bike into your graduation photos, you can capture your journey as a triathlete and showcase your unique style. Use these tips and photo examples to create your own triathlon-themed graduation photo shoot. Don’t forget to have fun and celebrate all your hard work and accomplishments!
